Ginger Snaps by Cathy Cassidy Book Review

*Squeals*

Even though this book is a middle grade book I LOVED IT in all caps! It was just the cutest little thing ever and it seriously makes me wonder if there is any Cathy Cassidy book that ISN’T a bad read!
It was so adorable especially with the fluffy and light-hearted romance and even though it was a factor of the book it wasn’t so over the top to make you roll your eyes about it.

Basically, Ginger Brown is a popular girl. She traded fat and pig-tails for hair straighteners and makeup but when her best friend Shannon make friends with the lonely loser girl, Emily everything changes between them. It doesn’t help that the cute saxophone player is part of the issue. Would Shannon and Ginger stay together or will their friendship drift apart?

There are very few novels that get friendships and teenage drama right! And I found that this book spoke to my youthful soul in a way that I could so easily relate to! I definitely recommend this novel to anyone! Don’t shy away just because this is a middle grade book!
