Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli book review

How do you write a book review on absolute perfection? This book was way too glorious for my poor fangirl heart to cope with. If you thought Simon was perfection Leah on the Offbeat will hit you right in the gut. I finished this book and then I wanted to read it again because of all this cuteness overload. I am currently considering drawing fanart and writing fanfiction about THIS ONE COUPLE. Oh my gosh I shipped these two characters right from the start like even in Simon I KNEW THEY WERE MEANT TO BE AND IT’S LIKE BECKY ALBERTALLI HAS LISTENED TO MY PRAYERS! It was too much that I stopped breathing. You are currently reading the book review my ghost has written. Also DO NOT READ THIS BOOK ESPECIALLY THE ENDING IN THE BATH! Seriously I tried doing this and it was a very bad idea indeed to have read this while soaking in a bath with a sparkly intergalactic bath bomb. VERY BAD IDEA.
My heart can’t even write this without heavy breathing and fangirling like a nuthead. IT WAS TOO PURE! I seriously think that I have this very bad addiction to Becky Albertalli’s work and the glorious ships she makes. WHY IS THE SIMONVERSE SO PURE AND SUCH A SMOL BEAN CENTRAL. Like seriously Becky Albertalli should be THE ROMANCE WRITER OF THE 21ST CENTURY because she can make every person in the world just swoon and ice cream melt into a gross and totally disgusting pool of blood, sweat and tears (That was not a BTS reference there 😉 Wow… I just ruined this book review didn’t I?)
So this is the sequel to my favourite book in the world ever IT WAS GOING TO BE IMPOSSIBLE TO TOP!!! But it’s basically about Leah Burke the lovable slytherin of Simon vs the homosapiens agenda. It takes place like a year after Simon where AHEM Blue and Simon are together and hopelessly in love it gave life to my dead and black heart. Anyway, despite Simon being openly gay, Leah can’t find it in herself to come out to him and tell him she’s bisexual. The rock-solid friendship group is starting to go different ways and crumble after unexpected events. With college and prom on the horizon the tension are higher than ever and it’s hard for Leah as she watches all her friends fight especially when she realises she likes one of her friends more than she ever intended.
Leah’s crush… BISCUIT CRUMBS (I’m not swearing here because I am a good Samaritan and a good person with a halo on her head because yes I am a total angel) I am so happy because they were made for each other they are like carrots and peas and like Betty Crockers on a cupcake. THEY WORKED. I don’t know who is cuter Simon and Blue or Leah and unnamed female. Honestly I think they both need fan fiction written about them. I FORWARD THIS MOTION!
I need Becky Albertalli’s book now as in I’ll literally back you up in a dark alleyway and wrestle you to the ground if you have a copy of her next book. Or in this case “What if it’s Us” with Adam Silvera. I need more of this ship. I need therapy more than ever please recommend me a good fangirling psychiatrist because I HAVE NOT COPED. I’m thinking about this book 24/7 it’s murdering my soul and I’m breathing really loudly and heavily and not only that but I have a growing appetite for oreos and a milkshake. Maybe I should have an oreo milkshake! Not a bad idea huh?

*comes here because I have no freaking idea of how to write a review* Oreo milkshakes sound amazing. Someone needs to open a Becky Albertalli cafe were you can get oreo milkshakes and cadbury chocolate eggs milkshakes and then can also sell like white chocolate sneakers and rainbow chocolate and ... did I just come up with an awesome idea... i am totally including this in my Leah on the Offbeat review AHH *dies*
Lol I'm glad I'm sort of helping you write a review. With me I follow a simple structure: Intro, Blurb of book/summary, Likes about the book, Dislikes about the book, conclusion and rating. Hope you write a really amazing review soon! I'll be reading it :) But yes a Becky Albertalli cafe would be EPIC!!!!! I MEAN SERIOUSLY OREO EVERYTHING I WOULD PAY $100 JUST TO GO THERE!!!!!!
