Thunderhead (Arc of a Scythe #2) by Neal Shusterman Book Review

That was hands down the SLOWEST book I have ever read in the history of my existence. I’m not exaggerating. Of a 500+ paged book about 300 pages were about nothing. For a beginning of a series, Scythe ended on such a good note and I loved it so much however this book just let me down so much that even after about 2 months I still don’t remember anything about this novel which is sad since I was ridiculously hyped for it. Maybe I’ll read The Toll when it comes out but I doubt it since it’s thick as anything and I’m scared it might be as long and arduous to read like Thunderhead

All in all, I was not feeling it and it was soooooo slow which was sad since I do love these characters a lot.

I actually really liked this one as well, but I can totally see why if you found it to be too slow.

Yeah most ratings on Goodreads said it was a 5 star read for them but I found so much of it to be slow. I must admit that ending was amazing!

Whilst it was slow, I still really enjoyed it.

Lots of people enjoyed it but I'm scared the Toll will be even slower. I'm thinking of putting the series off for a while.

Thinking back, I can see how slow it was, but at the time it didn't bother me at all. I loved reading about the adventures of Greyson Tolliver and hearing from the Thunderhead, so I was not complaining about the filler and fluff in the first half of the book. I'm reading The Toll at the minute and the first 100 pages or so were simply setting the scene. I don't even know what's happened yet. If you don't want a slow book, you may not enjoy it, although it could get better soon. (hopefully)

Yeah, I personally didn't enjoy reading about Greyson I was more invested in Citra and Ronan's story which was more towards the end. I might read The Toll one day :)

That makes sense. I felt like that with the Throne of Glass series. (I loved the Blackbeak witches more than the main storyline to be fair, and was really tempted to skip the other bits.) How did you feel about reading from the Thunderhead's perspective?

I loved Thunderhead's perspective! and with Throne of Glass, I've only gotten up to book 4 but I love Dorian's POV more than Celaena's.
